<p>Night’s music is bittersweet</p>
<p>tomorrow remains unpromised<span id="more-2176"></span></p>
<p>Earth faces moon &#8211; all constant,</p>
<p>she turns her back in waves</p>
<p>stars observe, purr, and kiss</p>
<p>long-dead stellar corpses crooning</p>
<p>then putative silence – all vapor,</p>
<p>all dew upon a spider’s web.</p>
