Despair by Hanh Chau

         Despair takes over
        when death comes
    to a soft wind whisper
  embrace with the
 final thought of
devastating heart
fill with farewell cord
 Echoes of grief reflect
 with shattered dream
  from strength diminish
    a mother’s agony
      of her child lost
         shed in tears
          in the deep ocean wave
             to ask for help
           of comfort in need
            a wish of a gentle care
            from the beacon light
           guiding to the broken spirit
          leading to the glee of eternity
         bring the console to peace

Hanh Chau is from San Jose, California USA. She enjoys writing, reading, listening to music and ballroom dancing. She works for Kaiser Permanente Hospital as a patient care services representative.
